About the project

Technology to the Locals (TTL) is a 9‐month basic digital literacy and digital safety program delivered through YandyTech SolutionLab, targeting 120 grassroots young people, 80% women and girls, 20% men across selected communities in Northern Nigeria, with particular interest in Kaduna State. Participants will complete a 6‐month competency-based training program in digital literacy, productivity tools, online safety, and practical applications, followed by applied capstone projects, mentorship, and a graduation ceremony at which completers/graduands receive certificates of completion.

YandyTech Community is a youth-led, Nigeria-registered nonprofit advancing tech-driven community action to expand decent work opportunities, livelihoods, and digital inclusion for underserved communities, especially young women, girls, and youth in Northern Nigeria. Through their innovation hub, SolutionLab, they deliver practical, community-rooted skills pathways that help people build confidence, access opportunities, and help use technology safely and responsibly.
