This project will ensure the continued integration of information and communication technologies in the Pueblo Nuevo territory.

Status: Ongoing

Country: Colombia

Partner: Pueblo Nuevo Indigenous Reservation

Impact goal: 7000 community members

About the project

This project aims to ensure the continued integration of information and communication technologies (ICT) in the Pueblo Nuevo territory through a process that includes:

  1. Strengthening and expanding local capacities acquired in the first stage of the project,

2. Defining sustainability strategies for the community network, and

3. Providing culturally and linguistically relevant connectivity access to unconnected communities within the reservation.

Updates

To understand the needs of the community, a gathering bringing together all indigenous people in the area took place. This not only initiated contact with all communities, it also allowed the project group at Pueblo Nuevo to hold sustainability workshops and meetings to design the sustainability strategy for the community network.
